This weekend welcomes the La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club from New York to Dramalabbet in Stockholm.
Presenting, for two shows only, the critically acclaimed play Waxing West - A Hairy-Tale in Four Seasons by Saviana Stanescu.
The Romanian institute is behind the invite and the play, winner of "The 2007
New York Innovative Theater Award for Outstanding Play" will be performed in English.

International Year of Astronomy 2009
2009 marks the 400th anniversary of the year Galileo Galilei first swung his telescope in the direction of the skies above us. To commemorate the man and his studies the United Nations has declared 2009 - The International Year of Astronomy.
Stockholm - being an international kind of place - has a programme of its own to celebrate the year which will open officially on January 15th at various locations around the capital.
The year-long programme of events is aimed at "stimulating an interest for space and the cosmos".
With Richard Branson not a million miles away from sending the first space tourists into the big beyond, it could be a good opportunity brush up your knowledge in time for the first Ryanair flights to the moon.

GOTHENBURG
Etnoporr
Etnorporr is an angry attack on multiculturalism and all those who think they know what it means.
It is a new play written by America Vera-Zavala, a woman who originally came to prominence as one of the founders of Attac Sweden. The play is in Swedish.

Emergenza Festival
The Emergenza Festival, Europe's largest music festival for upcoming bands, comes to Gothenburg next week.
Musikens Hus plays host to a slew of bands that might just be the "next big thing". If you can hold a chord you could always consider joining in the fun.

Zlatan's Smile
Zlatans Leende (Zlatan's Smile) is a play about Malmö. It is about a day when horrible, and fantastic, things happen. It is about standing up to Gangster Gangster Gangster and dreaming about playing ball with Rosengård royalty Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
A family performance in Swedish for those aged seven and up.
