Mystery lottery winner found

Members of a family from Skåne in southern Sweden couldn't believe their luck this week when they returned home from a winter holiday to find they had won the lottery jackpot of more than 110 million kronor ($13.5 million).

"It's absolutely unbelievable, it hasn't fully sunk in yet," the family told state lottery company Svenska Spel, which had been searching for the lucky ticket holder since the winning lottery combination was announced on December 27th.

"We came home from our holiday abroad and sat down to read some old newspapers when we saw that they were looking for a winner. Then we realized that we hadn't checked our own ticket," said the family father.

The numbers matched and the family was suddenly 110,551,909 kronor better off. They quickly decided it was high time to go ahead and invest in a new kitchen.

The winning ticket was bought at the ICA Maxi Supermarket in Helsingborg, which incredibly celebrated another million plus winner as recently as this Saturday. This time the ticket-holder walked away with a cool 3.9 million kronor.
