Man dies after fall through ice

A man died after falling through ice on Lake Vänern near Lidköping in western Sweden on Friday.
His calls for help were heard by three fisherman who were able to pull the man out of the icy water.
The man was rushed to hospital in Lidköping.
"He was dead on arrival at the hospital and attempts to resuscitate the man failed," said a Lidköping police spokesperson to Göteborgs-Posten.
