Thieves nick St. Nikolaus presents
German children usually wake up to presents on their doorstep on December 6th, St. Nikolaus Day. But two families in Bavaria woke up to discover that thieves had absconded with the holiday loot, police told daily TZ on Sunday.
Unknown suspects ran off with a bag of sweets and toys that were sitting on a doorstep meant for a six year-old in the town of Bürglein. In the town of Hof, a nine year-old girl had put out a boot for Nikolaus, only to discover both the boot and the presents were gone by morning.
