The new Berns has undergone a major facelift and has recently reclaimed its undeniable place as one of the city’s biggest, best and most ambitious nightclubs.

Walk in through the hotel entrance, go down the stairs and you will discover a gigantic floor space with more than enough room for dancing, getting to know people and hanging around in the lounge in a nice dark environment with the freshest clientele in town.

In terms of music, Berns plays everything from hip-hop to house, jazz and soul. There’s also a major focus on art exhibitions, film viewings and other visual treats.

Club King Kong

Club King Kong takes over the reins at the little Hornstull bar Sjöhästen on the first Saturday of every month. What this mean is at least a couple of new and interesting pop/rock bands, as well as DJs operating in the same musical sphere of course.

Fritz's Corner is one of the city's oldest and most popular rock clubs. Every Saturday sees an offering of wonderfully interesting live bands from Södermalm and abroad, as well as a busy dancefloor shaking to everything from electro pop to rock'n'roll.

Tonight

Hyped British band Late of the Pier play live. Support: Swedish band Love Is A Burning Thing. DJs on the main dancefloor: Assid and Miss Siljestrom. In DFB: Throw Me Away.

Klubb Spiderdogs

Homer Simpson had a spiderpig but this very popular hip-hop club is instead named after spiderdogs.

Spiderdogs is also the name given to the club’s house band, which offers a mix of live hip-hop, disco, soul and funk with various famous guests popping up behind the microphones.

Previous guests include Fattaru, Adam Tensta, Chords, Afasi & Filthy, Ison & Fille and Organism 12.

Mofeta and Jerre are the club’s hosts and house DJ is none other than DJ Large himself.

Tonight

Hotly anticipated live performance from Sweden's biggest hip hop group Looptroop Rockers. Mofeta & Jerre man the deck, with the Spiderdogs house band warming things up.

O-Baren

O-Baren located right at the back of the luxury Sturehof restaurant, is like a little oasis in the middle of Stureplan. Here you can be certain of avoiding DJ Bobo, Basshunter and champagne-spraying brats. Instead Lorenzo and Nicke at the bar always make sure there are some top notch DJs playing some of the best rock, indie, electro, soul, house and disco in town.

Lorendzo is joined behind the decks by Odd At Large and Sam B-Line.

Nordic Light's beautifully designed bar offers a fantastic Saturday hang-out with four alternating clubs a month.

There's Housewives with La Fleur and Adeline Supreme and their house and electro party.

There's underground party collective Socially Hazardous.

There's the unpretentious, intimate and energetic Piggly Wiggly.

And, finally, there's the club collective and music blog 24:Hours.

YES! is, in all likelihood, the best and most ambitious hip-hop club in town. At least once a month Mosebacke is filled to bursting with people dancing, breakdancing and listening to the very best of hip-hop, along with a generous helping of breakbeats, house, R&B and soul.

The residents here are Pure P, Flaite and Don Dada and the guests are often well-known foreign stars and promising Swedish talents, either playing DJ sets or performing live.

When summer comes around, the club spills out onto the big outdoor terrace with a phenomenal view out over the whole of Stockholm.

Tonight

Yes! offers a heady mix of old and new Swedish hip hop with live performances from: Organism 12, Henok, Allyawan, J-Son, Stor, Pato Pooh, Prop Dylan and none other than Ken Ring!

DJs on the main floor: Will-Rock and guest Chris Read (UK), with DJ Crona in the Cornelis room. Ametist is compere for the evening.
