O-Baren located right at the back of the luxury Sturehof restaurant, is like a little oasis in the middle of Stureplan. Instead Lorenzo and Nicke at the bar always make sure there are some top notch DJs playing some of the best rock, indie, electro, soul, house and disco in town.

Postcard from Scotland

Address: Bonden Bar, Bondegatan 1

8pm - 1am

50 kronor

Age: 20 and over

Website

There's a school of thought among indie pop fans that classifies Scotland as a country at the very forefront of the pop scene. With a history including the old C-86 wave and classic bands like Teenage Fanclub, The Pastels and The Vaselines, as well as indie legends such as The Jesus and Mary Chain and eighties Primal Scream, it's difficult not to agree.

Postcard from Scotland constitutes an attempt to bring a little piece of Scottish pop music to Stockholm and the classic Bonden Bar cellar.

Expect all sorts of Scottish music, with actual Scots often flown in to play live or pay a visit to the DJ booth.

Tonight

A very welcome visit from none other than Aidan Moffat (Arab Strap etc.) who will be DJing for the evening.

Raw Fusion

10pm - 2am

100 kronor

The years roll on but Raw Fusion remains, and it does so with considerable aplomb. Everyone who's anyone has played here, at least in the realms of funk, soul, deep house, disco, broken beats or hip hop. Carl Craig, Kerri Chandler, Jazzanova, UFO and Giles Peterson have all been here.

Mad Mats is host of the club that nowadays runs just once a month. He is assisted by MC Aaron Phiri and residents Asparagus, Richard Masip and Cornelisrummet's Brasse-Agge.

Tonight

Raw fusion celebrates its twelfth anniversary in style with Eric Rico from LA, a soul singer reckoned to be right up there with Dwele and D'Angelo.

Saturday Light

Nordic Light's beautifully designed bar offers a fantastic Saturday hang-out with four alternating clubs a month.

It's the turn of 24:Hours.
