Breakthrough in missing woman case

A man is being held by police on suspicion of having murdered 29-year-old Carolin Stenvall who disappeared in September from the Gällivare area in northern Sweden.

According to a statement from police, the man was detained on Thursday night.

He is being held on reasonable suspicions of murder, a lower level of suspicion.

Police write in a statement that they are making no further comments for the moment.

“More information will be releases as soon as the investigation warrants,” write the police.
