Police are expanding their search for 29-year-old Carolin Stenvall, who disappeared more than a week ago in Norrbotten in northern Sweden.

On Monday, they plan to conduct a new search of the area near a stone bridge on the E10 motorway southeast of Gällivare where Stenvall’s car was found abandoned on Saturday, September 13th.

Police are increasingly convinced that Stenvall is the victim of a crime and plan to bring along 14 search dogs to assist in the day’s search.

In addition to the more than twenty police officers from Norbotten, investigators from the National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) have now also joined the effort.

Police have received a number of tips, but believe that more members of the public may have seen something related to Stenvall’s disappearance.

The woman disappeared on Friday, September 12th while on her way from her home in Piteå to an interview in Kiruna for a job at the nearby Ice Hotel.
