Archaeologists uncover 14th century farm at rubbish tip
Archaeologists in central Sweden have uncovered the remains of a fourteenth century farm at a rubbish tip outside Örebro, Sveriges Television reports.
Although there were early indications that objects of interest were concealed beneath the dump, archaeologists were astonished to find the intact remains of a farmstead from the early Middle Ages.
But there is no time to waste if the excavation is to produce any more pleasant surprises: only one week remains until work is scheduled to begin on the construction of a biogas plant on the site.
