Swedish cows milk organic trend
Although Swedish sales of organic milk are better than ever, it won’t be possible to buy full-fat organic milk in your local supermarket as of next week.
At least not if it is made by Sweden’s leading dairy producer Arla Foods.
The reason is that demand for organic milk has become so huge that organically reared Swedish cows cannot keep up.
Tobias Wåhlen, head of communications at Arla Foods, told the Ostgöta Correspondent newspaper that semi-skimmed half-fat organic milk is the most popular seller.
Arla are prioritizing the half-fat organic milk instead of the full-fat variety in order to keep up with demand.
Arla Foods´sales of organic dairy products has increased by 30 percent in the last year.
