Diesel price leaps to new record
Diesel prices leaped to a new record on Friday as leading petrol firms raised their pump prices.
Diesel prices climbed to 14.99 kronor ($2.50) on Friday as the major petrol companies, led by Statoil and OKQ8, raised their prices by 0.10 kronor.
The pump price for 95-octane petrol will remain at 13.99 kronor, close to the record which was set when prices climbed above 14 kronor for the first time in June.
Since the beginning of the year US crude oil prices have climbed by over 50 percent. In the past year oil prices have more than doubled.
