Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
This is the third time Bruce has graced Ullevi Stadium ( 1985, 2003, 2008). The 1985 concert has become the stuff of rock and roll legend. Springsteen - with the help of 64,312 people in the audience - almost rocked the stadium to pieces, literally. Due to the fact that Gothenburg rests on a layer of clay, the rhythmic movement of tens of thousands of people came close to causing a structural collapse. Swedes love the American rocker and who knows what might happen this time around. 100,000 tickets were all sold out within only a few hours in December last year
Woody West is hosting an elegant after party at Pustervik. The eminent Gothenburg duo, Sleeping Beauty will be rocking it on stage. Their mix of blues, pop and soul should be a worthy cool down after the Boss. Stick around and get wired up on soul, Springsteen euphoria, indie hits and classics from the world of rock.
A new techno and house club makes its debut. The organizers want to focus on the non-snobby side of house and techno without losing the feeling of exclusivity and full on party atmosphere. Apparently the light and laser show will be extravagant. Count us in!
There is no place like Röda Sten in the summer. Tonight the first stage of their Summer Bash will treat you to reggae and dancehall on both the dance floor and the outside terrace. The salty winds and the passing of the Stena ferry should make you realize that your summer holiday is best spent in the city.
Last year's hit is back. Summer Club will launch at Respekt and stay resident at the club every Saturday all summer. The summer season will filled with DJs, theme parties, surprises, multiple dance floors and great music. This is a club for anyone looking for a fun night out.
