Rice met Simmons and the other members of the Legendary US rock band on Thursday evening following a dinner hosted by the Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt. Rice met the band at a hotel in central Stockholm.

Kiss had made contact with Rice and arranged a meeting with her in a conference room in the hotel, reported news agency Reuters.

"It was really fun to meet Gene Simmons," said Rice to reporters on board a plane taking her to her next appointment in Iceland on Friday.

There are no reports as to what Simmons and the other rockers discussed with Rice, who has been in Stockholm in connection with an international conference on Iraq.

Kiss were in Stockholm to play their first gig in nine years at Stockholm's Stadion on Friday evening. According to Dagens Nyheter the band declined to play their 1982 hit "War Machine."

Rice, who is a good pianist and considered an artist career before she began her studies, related that she appreciates all types of music. But it seems from the list of four concerts that she had attended Kiss do not rank among her favourites.

When Rice was ten she she went to a concert with Paul Revere & The Raiders. When she was 16 she saw Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. In addition she said that she has also seen concerts with Earth, Wind & Fire and U2.
