Frontlines: Notations from the Contemporary Indian Urban

BodhiBerlin is a brand new gallery dedicated to the contemporary art of India. In its inaugural exhibition, which ends Saturday, artists such as Subodh Gupta, Nataraj Sharma, Riyas Komu, and Zarina Hashmi examine the "accelerated urbanization" that is affecting cities like Mumbai and Bangalore, through corrugated iron, and wire.

Hamburg's Altonale neighbourhood will become an open-air art festival for two weeks starting Friday, as authors hold readings, storefronts compete for the best art window display, and singers, dancers and musicians perform in the streets. It all comes to an exuberant finale with a six-hour long "Fun Parade."
