German gas costs set to soar this summer
Natural gas companies in Germany are expected to increase prices by up to 17 percent between June and July, German daily Bild reported on Tuesday.
The highest price hike will come from RheinEnergie at 16.9 percent, industry analyst Verivox told the paper.
Increases mean that a four-person household that uses 20,000 kilowatt hours per year will now pay €1,500, some €217 more than last year.
According to Bild, up to 67 gas providers will increase prices this summer.
