Man found hanged on Stockholm island
A man was found hanging from a tree on the island of Långholmen in Stockholm at lunchtime on Tuesday with a plastic bag over his head.
Police have launched an investigation into a possible murder.
“The field commander on the scene noted something which doesn’t allow us to rule out foul play,” said police spokesperson Ann-Sofie Ahlgren to the TT news agency.
A member of the public found the body while out walking a dog, said Södermalm station commander Kajsa Valden to the Expressen newspaper.
Forensic medical technicians are on the scene to examine the body.
Police don’t know how long the man, who remains unidentified, has been dead, reports Expressen.
