Court permits balcony smoking

A district court in Falun in central Sweden has ruled that it is permitted to smoke on one’s balcony.
A couple from Falun had sued their housing company Kopparstaden after being disturbed by their neighbour smoking on his balcony.
The couple had demanded lower rent conditions, but the district court has now ruled that “reasonable” smoking on balconies should be permitted.
The couple has not commented as to whether they will appeal against the decision.
