Woman arrested in connection with Albanian murders

A 44-year-old woman arrested in Borås on Wednesday is wanted in Albania for two murders and two cases of attempted murder, Borås Tidning reports.
A judge in Albania has previously sentenced the woman to 25 years in jail for a series of crimes carried out in April 2002. She was found to have murdered two men in Bajram Curri to avenge her brother's death.
The arrest took place after Albanian police received information that the woman could be staying with family members in the western Swedish town.
Borås District Court is scheduled to examine the case on Friday.
"In international cases the request has to be tried," prosecutor Peter Larsson told the TT news agency.
