The day of the attacks, in which two men were shot and one subsequently died from his injuries, a freelance photographer was beaten as he tried to take pictures at the scene.

As a TV4 cameraman set up to film at the site on Monday, he was surrounded by 15 people.

The mob threatened to kill the man and he was forced to hand over his tape, according to TV4.

“It’s regrettable that we’ve been obstructed from practicing our profession,” said Ylva M Andersson, managing editor for TV4 in Gothenburg.

“I’m taking the incident very seriously and we’ve reported the incident to the police,” she said.

A warrant has been put out for the arrest of a 30-year-old man who police suspect committed Friday’s attacks against the two men.

A reporting team from Sveriges Television was also the victim of an attack at the site on Sunday.

A group of people approached a photographer and a reporter when they were working in the Bergsjön area and proceeded to kick down and destroy the team’s camera.

The team’s tape was also destroyed, said Lena-Marie Nilsson, managing editor for Svergies Television western regional news.

“At first I was upset by what happened, and then angry that we can’t do our job, and then worried about how the situation has evolved,” she said.

According to the, Swedish Union of Journalists (Journalistförbundet), threats against journalists are becoming more common.

“The Ministry of Justice has launched an investigation looking into threats against different groups, including politicians. Now they have also started to show an interest in looking at journalists, which I think is great,” said union head Agneta Lindblom Hulthén.

“We’ve said for a long time that there is a problem for democracy when people threaten journalists,” she said.
