Social Democrats push help for employed entrepreneurs
The Social Democrats want to introduce economic support for entrepreneurs who also hold full-time jobs.
The supports are designed to encourage entrepreneurs to engage in their own company full-time, according to Sveriges Radio.
“We know that many hang on to their full-time jobs; who don’t dare to leave their jobs, while at the same time they have a small company with a really good business idea on the side,” said Luciano Astudillo, a Social Democratic member of parliament and head of the party’s employment consultative committee.
Astudillo believes that the support should be benefit women entrepreneurs in particular. He had no estimate for how much the measure would cost.
The Social Democrats also want small business owners to have stronger protections if they become sick or don’t succeed with their business ideas.
