Stockholm restaurants Leijontornet and Mathias Dahlgren Matsalen, as well as Gothenburg’s Kock & Vin were added to this year’s guide, bringing to twelve the number of Swedish restaurants with Michelin stars.

“It feels great. A Guide Michelin star is a goal both for the restaurant and for me personally,” said Leijontornet’s head chef Gustaf Otterberg to the newspaper Dagens Nyheter.

Four new restaurants have also received a Bib Gourmand-award for having good food at affordable prices. They are Per Lei, Proviant, Ulla Winbladh and Carl Michael in Stockholm.

Mathias Dahlgren Matsalan was also given a “Rising Star” designation, signifying that it will likely receive an additional star in the future, reports the Svenska Dagbladet newspaper.
