Teens caught in porn site card scam
Two 16-year-old Swedish boys have been charged with fraud after they published a fake porn website to trick visitors out of money.
The site promised visitors live streaming of naked people. All it would cost was 15 kronor, paid by credit card. But there was no sex show. Instead, the website sent visitors' card numbers, complete with security codes, direct to the two teenagers.
The boys, from Norrköping in eastern Sweden, used the card numbers to fund an internet shopping spree, spending 40,000 kronor using their victims' cards.
"They probably, foolishly, believed that they were tricking some dirty old man who would never report it. But that was where they went wrong," said Jan Löfgren of Norrköping Police, to Norrköpings Tidningar.
