Arlanda emission cap could impact growth

Stockholm Arlanda Airport has had its bid to increase its carbon dioxide discharge levels rejected by the Environmental court.
According to the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration, planned increases in air traffic over the next few years will have to be curtailed if the present emission limits are maintained.
The environmental court said that it would not be possible to loosen emission restrictions on the airport without first reviewing the airport’s entire environmental permit.
“We shall both appeal the decision and demand a review of the entire permit," Jan Lindqvist, head of information at the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration told Uppsala Nya Tidning.
