The Swede was arrested at Sydney Airport on Wednesday moments after he stepped off a flight from Queensland, the Australian Associated Press (AAP) reports.

Police said the incident took place seven months ago during a violent bar brawl at a hotel near Manly Beach in Sydney.

The 23-year-old Englishman, who has now returned home to Manchester, was left needing emergency treatment for his injuries, according to AAP. During the fight he was held down and had half of his lower lip bitten off.

The Swede was refused bail when he appeared in front of Manly Local Court on Thursday. He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Sydney Central Local Court on November 29th.

Police said they were also looking for two other men suspected of involvement in the hotel brawl.
