Brit in court over left-hand driving death

The prosecution of a British man was due to start in Gothenburg District Court on Tuesday, after he caused the death of a woman when he drove his rental car on the wrong side of the road.
The man, 44, was visiting Sweden in February when he turned onto the left-hand side of the road and crashed head-on into a car coming in the other direction. A 65-year-old woman died and a couple in their sixties sustained serious injuries.
The man told police that he had just filled his car at a petrol station, and upon leaving had automatically reverted to driving on the left. He is charged with manslaughter, careless driving and causing serious injury.
