Company reports stolen coffee beans

Coffee manufacturer Löfbergs Lila in Karlstad received an unwelcome ingredient on a shipment from Uganda. Instead of the 21 tonnes of coffee they had ordered, staff found a half-metre deep layer of soil.
"This was no minor operation. The container was sealed and had not been damaged so they must have lifted off the entire sides," head buyer Tony Broman told Nya Wermlands-Tidningen.
The incident has been reported to the police but the the company thinks the coffee probably disappeared in Uganda and holds out little hope recovering its cargo of beans.
