The Rolling Stones have arrived in Sweden ahead of their Friday night concert at the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg.

The veteran British band arrived on Thursday afternoon, checking into their hotel in the centre of town shortly after 5pm.

Keith Richards and Charlie Watts went straight into the hotel. Mick Jagger, wearing a cap, waved to fans before entering, while Ronnie Wood briefly greeted autograph seekers gathered outside.

Tabloid Aftonbladet reports that Jagger and Wood were later seen dining with their families at top Gothenburg restaurant Sjömagasinet. The paper quoted the restaurant's chef saying the pair "went very easy on the alcohol."
