Swedish woman dies in tragic holiday accident

A 49-year-old Swedish woman has died after falling from a window on the fifth floor of a hotel in Copenhagen on Tuesday night.
The accident occurred when she leaned out of the window to smoke a cigarette, Danish news agency Ritzau reports. According to police, she had been sitting on the windowsill to circumvent a ban on smoking in the room.
The woman died immediately from the injuries she sustained in the fall.
Police said that her husband and two children were witnesses the accident. It was also they who alerted the hotel and authorities to what had happened.
