Swede killed in Iraq blasts
At least one of approximately 80 people killed in bomb attacks in the northern Iraqi oil city of Kirkuk was a Swedish citizen, it has been reported.
Swedish-Kurdish writer Kurdo Baksi told news agency TT that the Swedish citizen was among the dead. Baksi said the dead Swede was a friend of his, and was in his fifties.
More Swedes could have been caught up in the blasts, which took place on Monday, Baksi said.
The Swedish Foreign Ministry told TT that it did not have information about dead or missing Swedes, but said it was investigating the reports.
