Gothenburg HIV man faces assault charge
A 27-year-old man in Gothenburg has been charged with assault after being found to have infected two women with HIV.
The suspect also faces charges for attempted assault after having unprotected sex with two women who did not contract the virus.
The 27-year-old was placed in quarantine last month after a doctor discovered that he had unprotected sex with a number of women.
The doctor, a specialist in infectious diseases, contacted the county court in Västra Götaland, which agreed to his unusual request.
