Two injured in Stockholm axe attack
Two people have been taken to hospital following an armed robbery at a jewellery shop in Bagarmossen in south Stockholm.
Two men armed with an axe entered the shop at 3.30pm on Wednesday and began attacking two employees.
"One was struck on the head with the axe. I don't know if they were seriously injured," said police spokeswoman Ann-Charlotte Wejnäs.
The thieves smashed open a display cabinet before disappearing on a moped. Police have not yet been able to ascertain the value of the goods stolen in the raid.
The crime scene has been sealed off to allow police technicians to conduct a forensic analysis.
