Man prosecuted for sale of chocolate cannabis

A 20-year-old has been charged with fraud after selling 200 grammes of chocolate for the extortionate sum of 9,000 kronor ($1,300).

The two men who bought the goods had been led to believe that the package contained cannabis.

On discovering that they had been cheated the men decided to seek revenge. They have now both been prosecuted for assault after shooting the 20-year-old in the foot and striking him over the head with an axe.

But a Malmö prosecutor has also decided to press charges against the would-be drug dealer. Despite the fact that it is illegal to sell cannabis, prosecutor Christer Ovallius told Skånska Dagbladet that pretending to sell the drug may be classified as fraud.
