The three men have told a number of Swedish media that they were exposed for various forms of torture during the four months that they were in Ethiopian prisons. They claimed that they told Säpo and Swedish Embassy officials of this while they were still jailed in Ethiopia.

Foreign Ministry officials and Foreign Minister Carl Bildt have all denied that such information was known to the Swedish authorities. But according to the report, which was seen by Swedish Radio, the prisoners had told of physical and psychological torture during questioning.
