The man, who is married with a three-year-old son, was found have 750 grams of cocaine in his stomach when apprehended at Dublin Airport.

The quantity of cocaine seized has an estimated street value of 655,000 kronor ($94,000).

"He was arrested by our investigators with cocaine contained in capsules inside his body," police spokeswoman Mary Egan told Aftonbladet.

The suspect is reported to come from a small community in Uppland in eastern Sweden. He and his wife separated in January.

"It was his sister who told me he had been arrested. He had asked her to do it first. I suppose he must care about the boy in some way," the man's wife told Aftonbladet.

The Swede is to be detained in custody in Dublin while awaiting trial.

"The Embassy is working to get more details so we can help him out with a lawyer," foreign ministry spokeswoman Petra Hansson told Aftonbladet.
