Arsonists destroy new police station
The grand opening of a new police station in the Stockholm suburb Vårby Gård has had to be postponed after an overnight fire caused serious damages the new premises. The station was scheduled to open its doors on Thursday morning.
Witnesses reported seeing three men set fire to the station before fleeing in a car.
The men are reported to have broken a window and poured flammable liquid into the station before setting it alight.
The entire station has incurred smoke damage and one room has been completely burnt out.
Police have received the name of one of the men suspected of involvement.
As yet, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
