The body of Jelena Ivanisevic, 20, was found in the toilet at the house in the Långedrag district of Gothenburg in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police have, according to media reports, been carrying out an intensive search of the house and tracking down people who had come into contact with Ivanisevic.

Police were on Wednesday giving few details of the results of the post-mortem examination.

"We have conducted an autopsy and there remain suspicions that she was murdered. Apart from that we are not making any comments at present," said police spokesman Frans Dahlén to The Local.

Ivanisevic had been working as an au-pair for the family of a Swedish businessman. The family was on holiday and she was living alone when she was found dead in the family's house.
