Saab wins missile test contract
Saab has been awarded a new contract for carrying out missile tests with the Meteor guided missile. The new tests are part of an order worth over 300 million kronor.
"Meteor is the leading missile programme in Europe and Gripen has once again been selected for carrying out new tests in the project", said Thomas Hellström, project manager for Meteor at Saab Aerosystems, in a press release.
Meteor is a European collaborative programme between the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Germany.
Saab has also had an order for a mobile battalion training system from the Dutch army. Delivery will begin in 2007. The value of the contract to Saab is 350 million kronor.
