Boa on the loose in Kalix
A two-metre long boa constrictor is on the loose in Kalix in northern Sweden.
The snake is thought to have been tempted by the spring sun and slipped out through the window of the apartment where it was kept, according to local media.
The cold northern nights are likely to be too severe for the snake to survive.
A boa constrictor can live for as long as 40 years in captivity.
It is not a poisonous snake; when it finds a victim, the boa constrictor slithers around it and squeezes it to death.
