Swedish tourist dies after emergency landing

A jumbo jet carrying charter tourists from Thailand to Sweden was forced to land in Moscow on Thursday night when a 35-year-old woman became seriously ill. The woman died shortly after the plane landed.
The plane was on its way from Phuket to Gothenburg when the woman suddenly began vomiting. Her condition is then said to have deteriorated rapidly.
A doctor and nurse who were among the 580 passengers performed CPR on the woman when she suffered from cardiac arrest. The plane, a Boeing 747, made an emergency landing in Moscow, where an ambulance and medical team waited to transport the woman to hospital.
"She died shortly after arrival in Moscow," Suzanne Ardell from the Swedish embassy in Moscow told Aftonbladet.
