Swedes victims of robbery and rape in Venezuela

Twelve Swedish tourists have been robbed at their hotel in Venezuela. A girl was also raped in connection with the robbery.
There are also indications that a number of the tourists were assaulted.
"We are however somewhat uncertain as to reports of assault since we have heard varying reports," Bo Uggerhøj from insurance company SOS International told Aftonbladet.
The tourists have received assistance from the Swedish consulate in Caracas and have also been offered crisis help by Swedish emergency services.
SOS International first received news of the incident early on Monday evening. Out of consideration for thiose involved, the company does not wish to release information about the location of the hotel, the name of the travel agency or the Swedes' place of residence.
