Man places abortion pills in girlfriend's food

A 26-year-old man in western Sweden faces criminal charges after placing abortion pills in his girlfriend's food.
When he found out that his girlfriend was pregnant the man managed to get his hands on the prescription pills. He then mixed three of them in with her meal, Sveriges Radio reports.
She soon became nauseous, began bleeding and was extremely close to having a miscarriage.
The man has been charged in Vänersborg District Court with breaking abortion laws and committing serious assault.
