Stockholm man stabbed in unprovoked attack

A 37 year old man was stabbed in the stomach near Högdalstoppen in the south of Stockholm on Sunday. Police say that the attack was completely unprovoked.
The man was out walking when he encountered an unknown person who assaulted him. The attacker first put his hand up to the man's face and then stabbed him in the stomach with a knife.
"He received superficial injuries. The stab isn't too deep but it's four centimetres long," said Inger Qvennerstedt at south Stockholm police.
"It was completely unprovoked," she added.
Police were alerted to the attack just after 12.30 on Sunday afternoon and the victim was found ten minutes later lying in bushes. He was in shock and was taken to Söder hospital for treatment.
The injured 37 year old was not able to provide a good description of the knifeman but said that the man who attacked him looked like a vagrant.
