No prosecution over baby's broken leg
A baby with five fractures on her lower legs was in all probability subjected to violent shaking, doctors in southern Sweden said. But police in Växjö have dropped their investigation due to a lack of evidence.
The baby girl's parents contacted doctors in January, and were arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of serious assault. Both denied any wrongdoing all along.
Police found it impossible to prove who had injured the girl, said prosecutor Anna-Karin von Schoultz, announcing that the investigation would be wound up after eleven months.
