The World Bank has singled out Invest in Sweden Agency (ISA) as the best organization of its kind for the second year running.

In an annual performance review the Swedish investment promotion agency was up against the equivalent organisations in the ten other leading countries.

The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a member of the World Bank group, picked the Swedish agency for the quality of its investor services and the effectiveness of its website.

“The work of Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) in both the developed and developing economies is extremely important to their countries' ability to attract valuable foreign investment.

"It is, however, a highly competitive arena and the most successful IPAs are the ones that manage to achieve the highest levels of business orientation and professional standards,” said Robert Whyte, Senior Investment Promotion Specialist, MIGA, in a press release.
