Prison doctor gave Viagra to rapist

A prison doctor has been issued a warning for prescribing large quantities of sedatives and Viagra to a sex offender who raped two women in the weeks after his release.
The 40-year-old man has a long history of drug addiction and sex crimes. But that did not stop the prison doctor prescribing him with a five month supply of addictive sedatives and the potency drug Viagra upon his release. .
Just two weeks later he attacked and raped two women on a jogging track in Borlänge.
A medical examiner came across the prescription and reported it to the National Board of Health and Welfare. The Board was extremely critical and recommended the Committee on Medical Responsibility to warn the prison doctor.
On Tuesday the Committee reached its decision, writing that it "cannot be good medical practice" to prescribe addictive medications to a drug addict with a criminal record.
