Swedish bull sperm international hit

Swedish bull sperm is taking the world by storm. Sales have multiplied over the last few years and are showing no signs of tailing off, according to Swedish Radio.
Export figures from Svensk Avel show that over half a million doses of Swedish bull sperm were sold over the last year, compared to 140,000 five years ago.
"It began with a breeding experiment in California, where we crossed black Holstein cattle with our red breed, SRB. The result was very good and it has spread around the world," Svensk Avel's Anna Norgren told Swedish Radio.
Norgren added that one of the reasons Swedish bull sperm is so popular is that cattle in Sweden, unlike in many other countries, live long and healthy lives.
It just goes to show that sometimes a load of old bull can turn over a tidy profit.
