TV boss admits black-market nanny

Swedish Television's new CEO, Eva Hamilton, has latched onto the lengthening conga train of those who have gone public about availing of black market services. The head of the public service company revealed at a debate last night that she pays a nanny under the table, according to Journalisten.

"I have been thinking about whether I have any skeletons in my closet", Hamilton told those assembled at a Publicistklubben debate yesterday evening.

"I have an old nanny who does some work for me on the side for a few hours a week," she said.

It is just four days since Hamilton took over as SVT's new CEO. She has worked as a journalist for 28 years, 17 of which have been spent at SVT.

Chairman of board at SVT, Lars Engqvist, welcomed Hamilton's appointment in a statement last week.

"Eva Hamilton is the person most suited to lead SVT as it faces the challenges of the future. Among other things, it is about strengthening trust in public service in an environment that is characterised by ever more intense competition. It is also about

securing long-term financing," said Engqvist.
