Elk hunter believed murdered
Police believe that a 69-year old man who was found dead during an elk shooting expedition in southern Sweden on Monday was murdered.
The man's body was found by a fellow hunter next to a hunting tower near Knäred in Halland county, south of Gothenburg, on Monday afternoon.
"The injuries to his body indicate foul play," said Lars Hamrén at Halland Police.
The man died of external injuries caused by some kind of weapon.
"The kind of injuries is something I don't want to go into," said Hamr´sn.
The 69-year old man lived just a few hundred metres from where his body was found. Nobody had been arrested on Tuesday afternoon. The dead man's hunting companions and his family are to be questioned, as are other people who live nearby the site where he was found.
