Wine collector suspected of booze fraud
A wine collector and his wife have been charged on suspicion of fraud after reporting that wine worth 1.7 million kronor had been stolen from their home.
They told police that 84 bottles of top notch plonk, as well as other items worth around 100,000 kronor, were taken from their house outside Uppsala in April.
According to Dagens Industri, the couple also reported that wine worth 750,000 kronor was stolen in 2003. Their insurance company replaced the items and does not currently suspect fraud in that case.
However, the couple are suspected of another incident of fraud in January 2005.
