Ferry crash injures four
Four people were lightly injured in the Danish port of Elsinore on Monday when a ferry and a small passenger boat that ply the route to Sweden collided, police have said.
The Pernille passenger boat, owned by the Sundbussernes company, was seriously damaged in the early morning collision with the Mercandia 4 ferry, run by HH-Ferries.
The cause of the accident has not yet been determined but the Danish national TV2 television channel said a thick fog was lying on the water at the time.
Both crafts carry out regular crossings between Elsinore (Helsingør) and the Swedish port of Helsingborg, on the other side of the strait of Öresund.
